This 911T is definitely one of the few unmolested long hood PORSCHEs left with the original 4-speed Sportomatic transmission. Quirky or not, this car needs to be preserved because it is part of PORSCHE history with very few original Sportomatic cars left on God’s green earth! It was PORSCHE’s very first attempt to make an automatic transmission starting in 1969 and it worked well when kept in fine fettle. Just received a full tune-up, newer torque convertor and a fully rebuilt transmission servo and transmission oil pump. This 4-speed Sportomatic shifts like it should. Those who have driven a Sporto will know that it is the real grandfather of modern day PDK and not the Tiptronic. Believe it or not, it can be shifted faster than a manual due to the lack of clutch!!
