This is a beautifully restored 190SL roadster in outstanding condition. It has two tops: tan soft top and removable hardtop, both in excellent condition.
The car runs and drives as it was built to: strong and straight, with wonderful cornering ability. The clutch and transmission feel good and all gears are easy to shift. It has 56841 miles. It has been serviced since 1991 by the same Mercedes shop; the service log is available.
We have owned this beauty for 50 years. We bought the car in southern California in 1968, and brought it to Oregon in 1976. Since the restoration in 2008, it was driven only in the summer and never in the rain or other adverse weather. For the past four years it has been in storage and has not been driven. It has always been garaged and further protected with a fabric full-body cover. Clear title in Seller’s name.
Look at the exterior photos: the dark green body paintwork has such a deep shine that it creates a flawless mirror. There is no pitting or scratches. The unblemished sea foam green removable hardtop is a wonderful complement to the dark green body. The chrome bumpers and trim are in perfect condition. The interior is in excellent condition, clean and sharp. The header is immaculate, as are the re-upholstered leather seats and dark green carpeting. The tan soft top was made in 2008 and has never been used, since it was driven either with the hardtop or as a convertible.
