The car is very dependable and drives nice.
The T-bird has a older body-on restoration that has held up very well because it has been kept in a heated and air- conditioned garage since leaving California. The Red/White interior and Black exterior paint are the same colors as when it was built. Both the interior and Black paint have been professionally renewed.
EXTERIOR:
The body appears to be very straight and rust free. I believe little or no body filler was used before it was painted. There are a few minor imperfections in the paint. It's not bad, but the most noticeable is some rub marks where the hardtop meets the body below the rear window. I tried to get of photo of the rub marks but they wouldn't show up in the photos. The hardtop has some paint imperfections where the roof meets the deck of the body. (see photo, other side not as bad.)
The chrome and bright work is all very nice. Wire wheels were new when installed a few years ago. They still look new as they were never in the rain or on dirty roads. Tires are a matched set of deep tread Classic Radials.
INTERIOR:
Interior has been professionally redone and looks excellent.
The radio is an aftermarket "Thunderbird" radio that correctly fits into the dash and has a cassette player.
The original, factory Thunderbird AM radio will be included. I don't know if it is operable.
The tachometer is not working because the distributor is not a tach drive unit. I purchased the correct distributor for it and it too will be included with the sale.
The car is fully equipped with the optional 312 V8, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, and Power Seat.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT:
Engine compartment is very clean and detailed. The engine is strong and doesn't smoke or make any unusual noises. The exhaust exits through the bumper as original.
The battery is a reproduction "gel type" battery.
